The music festival scene isn't all that big in Singapore, but I do enjoy watching all the "Coachella Outfits" videos on YouTube. Honestly, before this outfit came about, I was packing my wardrobe when I came across this kimono which I sewed a while ago, and it struck me that it somehow matched a pair of shorts I had. I'm a complete sucker for matching printed coordinates, and a kimono seemed like the perfect thing for a festival-inspired outfit.

And thus this outfit was born: what I would wear to a music festival, if I were to go for one. Sunnies are a definite must, and I can't think of any other better occasion to pile on as much armcandy as I can possibly carry. Comfortable buckled boots, because I can't stand being uncomfortable while standing or walking, and a phone to complete the look, because where would we all be without our phones, right? And as usual, turquoise tops the list of my favourite things to adorn myself with, what with a huge turquoise necklace and a matching ring to boot.

Nostalgic

I had to help out at a photoshoot at D'Good Cafe for work, and this picturesque cafe was filled with all sorts of homely knick knacks and bric-a-brac, along with giant stuffed teddy bears that made me feel like a child all over again. Clad in a cute button-up denim skirt and sneakers (because there's really no better combination for denim skirts), I felt slightly nostalgic, even.

I say nostalgia also because denim skirts were a thing of my childhood. It was with an air of triumph that I left denim skirts behind with the vestiges of my childhood, because growing out of denim skirts became something like a symbol of growing up. But then denim skirts came back, and suddenly everyone was rushing to get one for themselves. I can't say I'm too surprised, honestly, because everything I wore when I was younger seems to be coming back in trend in droves. But hey, at least I just gave you an excuse not to throw away any of your old clothes, because you never know when they might come back in style.

The Boyfriend Shirt

I've been away from this space for too long: I just came back from Montigo (check out my Instagram for snaps from the trip under the hashtag #TCLexplores), and had senior's camp immediately after. And then I had my birthday, so look out for my posts with my Montigo and birthday visuals!

There was a torrential downpour when I left the house, which made for a complete lack of motivation in dressing up. It wasn't much of an outing - just lunch, and then Lady M for divine crepes and a good catch up with a friend. But a trip to town called for looking presentable at the very least, and this is what I came up with.

There's just something to be said for a loose, over-sized button-up shirt paired with simple shorts. Rolled up sleeves, a simple matching black and silver watch, and a handy bucket bag that fits everything I need. Favourite lazy day outfit, anyone?
